ClassHistoric passenger, commercial and competition automobile
Power5 hp

Licensed light car derived from Léon Bollée practice and represented by a Science Museum example made in 1898. A 1907 retrospective describes the 5 HP air-cooled single, hot-tube ignition and unusual five-step belt transmission. The compact two-seat vehicle measured about 2.13 by 1.30 by 1.26 m on a 61-inch wheelbase and weighed roughly 500 kg. Later sources sometimes collapse it with the mechanically different 4 HP Perfecta or Type C; they remain separate here.

This record contains useful sourced evidence, but it does not yet meet the reference-ready standard. Still needed: attributed imagery. Fields we cannot source stay empty rather than guessed.

Research notes

No isolated total is known; it preceded Darracq's high-volume Type C.
