Substantially enlarged successor to the 1903 Chainless, with a larger body, longer wheelbase, angle-iron frame, artillery wheels, full-elliptic springs, honeycomb/cellular radiator and two independent brakes. Standard references later call it Model A, but verified period copy uses Chainless, Covert or Runabout; the retrospective letter is therefore an alias rather than the canonical name. Sources conflict between 68- and 72-inch wheelbases and roughly 740–750 lb weights. A 6 hp example nicknamed 'The Baby' completed the 1904 Buffalo–St. Louis reliability tour as the only finisher in its class. Passenger availability is directly advertised through 1905 and again overseas in 1907; official marque histories end car production in 1907.
