Crypto's larger original car family. Period nominal ratings are inconsistent: W. G. James's car was captioned 14 hp in September 1904; an April 1905 club run called E. T. Pryor's car 12 hp and W. Whittall's 10 hp; three weeks later Pryor's same car was reported as 14 hp. Those owner-linked records make 10, 12, 10/12 and 14 hp rating variants of one higher-powered line, not evidence for duplicate model rows. In May 1905 an ordinary-stock two-cylinder Crypto driven by Whittall covered 1,027 observed miles in six days. Its only mechanical interruption was a loosened circulating-pump union; one spark plug also broke. Later reference works identify the twin as Tony Huber-powered, but the recovered period endurance report states only two cylinders, so the supplier attribution remains qualified rather than converted into invented dimensions.
