BriscoeModel B
Briscoe's debut light car, presented at the January 1914 New York Automobile Show after French design work at Briscoe Frères in Billancourt. Its signature single 'cyclops' headlamp was faired into the radiator shell, and early bodies used a light composition material often described as papier-mâché. The advertised $750 base price excluded top, windshield and starter. Touring and Cloverleaf bodies shared the same 107-inch chassis and remain one model family. The frequently repeated 'Four-Ninety' label is not used because period-derived catalog summaries identify this series simply as Model B and the documented launch price was $750.
Dates with their meaning intact
This record contains useful sourced evidence, but it does not yet meet the reference-ready standard. Still needed: attributed imagery. Fields we cannot source stay empty rather than guessed.
Company output was 4,938 cars in 1914 and 7,093 in 1915; sources do not divide those totals between body styles or Canadian and US finishing.
