BovyPostwar Light/Medium Truck
Collective family for the independently produced postwar light and medium Bovy commercial chassis whose original model codes and payload-by-year catalogue have not survived in accessible sources. Standard braking used a handbrake on the rear wheels; pedal braking could act on all four wheels or only the rear axle. Many trucks went to the Belgian Congo, some fitted with wood- or coal-gas producer systems where liquid fuel supply was poor. The collective record avoids inventing model names while keeping these materially distinct postwar four-cylinder vehicles separate from both pre-war Bovy-D'Heyne payload types and the 1928 six-cylinder 4-ton public-transport chassis.
Dates with their meaning intact
This record contains useful sourced evidence, but it does not yet meet the reference-ready standard. Still needed: attributed imagery. Fields we cannot source stay empty rather than guessed.
No type-level or total postwar production figure survives.
