Clyde (Leicester)Early Car Range
Evidence-gap umbrella for the initial Clyde automobiles built by Clyde Cycle & Motor Car Co. and George H. Wait. References state that the marque ultimately offered nine models, but surviving public summaries do not preserve the early factory designations or a chassis/body ledger. This row makes that loss visible rather than creating invented numbered models. Later post-liquidation Clydes receive separate recoverable families.
Dates with their meaning intact
This record contains useful sourced evidence, but it does not yet meet the reference-ready standard. Still needed: attributed imagery. Fields we cannot source stay empty rather than guessed.
Approximately 245 cars were built before the original Clyde company entered liquidation in 1905; this is an aggregate, not an exact model total.
