Based first on Granada 3.0 GXL and later Ghia donors. Ford evaluated exported examples for European production and Lee Iacocca used one, but the oil crisis ended that prospect. Some contemporary sources shortened the public name to Ford Granada V8; surviving badges and register evidence establish the Perana identity.
