What Jaguar has actually confirmed about the still-camouflaged electric grand tourer at the center of its reset.
Jaguar confirmed the Type 01 name in May 2026 for its coming electric four-door grand tourer. The badge is deliberate: Type connects the car to Jaguar's historic naming convention, zero denotes electric propulsion and zero tailpipe emissions, and one marks the first production model in the brand's new line. Jaguar says the car is being designed, developed, and built in the United Kingdom.
The engineering disclosed so far includes three motors, torque vectoring, more than 1,000 PS, and more than 1,300 Nm. Jaguar also describes air suspension and twin-valve active dampers, but the production body remains under camouflage. The company schedules the full reveal for September 2026. Until that happens, the Type 00 should be treated as a design-vision concept that previewed the new language—not as a photograph or specification of the finished Type 01.
