The only recoverable C. Gignoux automobile family. The Lyon bicycle and motorcycle manufacturer added cars in 1907 and ended automobile manufacture within that same year. Multiple standard references agree on one four-cylinder model and about ten examples but publish no authentic type designation, body catalogue, chassis dimensions, transmission, wheelbase, performance, price or customer chronology. This descriptive model identity prevents ten likely bespoke or poorly documented cars from being split into fictitious types. Gignoux bicycles and two-wheel motorcycles remain in the marque history but do not create automobile rows.

This record contains useful sourced evidence, but it does not yet meet the reference-ready standard. Still needed: attributed imagery. Fields we cannot source stay empty rather than guessed.

Research notes

Standard marque encyclopedias say approximately ten automobiles were made; 10 is retained as the reported estimate, not an exact surviving factory ledger count.
