The only defensible Dalgliesh-Gullane product identity. Haddington Motor Engineering of Haddington, East Lothian, built the open two-seater in 1907–08 under a badge whose spelling also appears as Dalgleish-Gullane. Sources agree on an imported water-cooled De Dion-Bouton single, 8 HP and shaft drive to the rear axle, but disagree on displacement: 863, 1,130, about 1,180 or 1,200 cc. None is selected as structured displacement until a factory catalog, engine plate or reliable measurement resolves the conflict. A secondary reference gives 50 km/h; this is retained as a reported figure rather than expanded into unsupported acceleration or economy data. Production estimates of about 10 and 14 likewise remain competing claims. The sole repeatedly documented survivor is chassis S1231, seen in the 1977 Firestone calendar, the 2001 Bertha Benz run, Ibbenbüren veteran events and the Pantheon Basel's 2012 exhibition. No second model, body series, price, wheelbase, dimensions, weight or verified mechanical subtype is known.

Exact output is unresolved: reference histories alternately report approximately 10 cars or 14 made/sold. One surviving 1908 car, chassis S1231, is repeatedly documented in Swiss ownership, but no factory ledger or complete chassis sequence is known.
