Cumbria10/12 HP Light Car

Larger and mechanically distinct companion to the V-twin monocar. The Motor illustrated a complete open car on 20 January 1914 and described its four-cylinder engine, thermosiphon water circulation, enclosed valves, automatic lubrication, magneto ignition, Zenith carburettor, leather-faced cone clutch, three forward speeds, separate reverse control and shaft-and-bevel final drive. The advertised complete price was £160 and enquiries were directed to Cumbria Motors Ltd at 13 London Road, Coventry. Standard automobile references identify it as the 10/12 HP, add the 1,110 cc displacement and 2,438 mm wheelbase, and date it to 1914. Its catalog status is deliberately qualified: when The Light Car and Cyclecar visited the Cockermouth works on 11 May, it reported production of the monocar and said a light car would very likely follow. The photograph, detailed specification and price prove a marketed and completed vehicle, but not an established customer production run, so no unsupported output or survivor claim is attached.
