Ward & Avey's opening and highest-volume model, derived from John Carden's Monocar design and only 30 inches (762 mm) wide. Thames Valley Pattern Works supplied lightweight bodies in wood, plywood and, in some cases, compressed paper. Early examples steered by wire-and-bobbin linkage acting on a pivoted complete front axle. Engine supplier and gearbox were buyer/build choices, not separate model names.
