ClassFront-wheel-drive three-wheel delivery van

Three-wheel commercial companion to the two-wheel By-Van, with two rear wheels, a coachbuilt load body behind the saddle and an approximately 3 cwt (152 kg) payload. A three-speed gearbox and handlebar clutch drove the steerable front wheel by chain. Quarter-elliptic rear springs with Silentbloc bushes distinguished it from the By-Van's rubber suspension; the stated fuel consumption was about 75 mpg. Turner Manufacturing developed the vehicles in 1946 and sold them through Light Delivery Vehicles Ltd from 1947. The official company history gives 1946–58 for the LDV product group, but surviving evidence does not prove uninterrupted Tri-Van manufacture through every year or disclose a production total.
