Elementary but versatile commercial family on a Volkswagen Kombi 1500 platform reinforced by two extra longitudinal members, reportedly increasing payload by 300 kg. A flat one-piece windscreen and externally mounted front spare characterized the cab. Open pickup, enclosed van, refrigerated and motorhome bodies were offered under one BR-101 program.
