Locally styled fiberglass interpretation of GM's global T-car, using a Chevette-like front and high-compression adaptation for Andean altitude in some specifications. The GP was a sporting sedan execution rather than a wholly separate body generation. Strong Ecuadorian competition use formed an important part of the model's reputation.
