Beijing Henrey Automobile Technology began developing compact electric vehicles and proprietary components at Zhongguancun in May 2010, gradually adding Henan vehicle engineering, Xuchang electric-drive and Yantai manufacturing subsidiaries. Its work covered lightweight bodies, integrated rear electric drive axles, controls and suspension rather than simply converting existing low-speed vehicles. After a decade of development, Henrey presented its first passenger-car program in 2020 under the Xiaohu—Little Tiger—consumer identity. A 2021 partnership with Dongfeng Motor Company supported joint development and production at Dongfeng's Zhengzhou operation; Xiaohu EV left the line in October and entered the Chinese market in November. The FEV/EV family was sold as short FOR-Two and longer FOR-Four bodies with multiple range and trim configurations. The same Henrey design was subsequently exported or proposed under many distributor badges, including Henrey Mincar, Lojo T300, Volt City EV, Rinco Aria, Apatech Ohkuma and Mullen I-Go/Go. Those are market aliases or licensed rebadges of the Xiaohu vehicle, not additional Xiaohu models. Henrey remains the engineering manufacturer and Xiaohu the public vehicle marque.
