Hans Hubert Wax began constructing sports cars in Berlin-Charlottenburg's Kant Garages in 1955. Marketed as Wax or Wax-Alfa, they combined the Alfa Romeo Giulietta floor structure, suspension and drivetrain with fiberglass bodies exploiting Wax's skill in reinforced plastics. The surviving histories do not preserve a formal multi-model catalogue, but one individual Giulietta Sprint Veloce Zagato, chassis 04657, is documented racing at the Avus in 1958 with Herbert Schultze. Schultze took over the workshop in 1961 and vehicle manufacture ended in 1962.
