Venturi was founded in France in 1984 by Claude Poiraud and Gérard Godfroy to build low-volume sporting grand tourers. After financial difficulties and several ownership changes, Monaco-based investor Gildo Pallanca Pastor acquired the marque in 2000. Venturi then shifted toward electric vehicles, motorsport and high-speed technology projects while retaining its specialist identity.
