Schuppan is the automobile identity of Australian racing driver Vern Schuppan, whose motorsport operation and later engineering company led to the Porsche 962-based 962CR road car. Vern Schuppan Ltd. was established in the United Kingdom in the early 1990s, with Reynard-built carbon monocoques and final assembly by Modena Cars; only a handful of 962CRs were completed in 1992–94 before funding problems forced bankruptcy. The catalog keeps Schuppan separate from Porsche's original 962 race car and from Schuppan's earlier racing career.
