Rondar Raceboats grew from a British racing-sailboat project started in the mid-1960s and became a specialist builder of one-design dinghies and keelboats. Its range expanded through the 1970s into classes such as the 420, Contender, Albacore, Fireball and Europe, and the company later returned to high-performance composite construction and built boats including the International Sonar and Viper. The catalog records Rondar as a raceboat builder, not a road-vehicle manufacturer, despite its NHTSA registry identity.
