New Leader Cars Limited succeeded Charles Binks's automobile operation in 1906 and marketed the inherited and revised cars as New Leader. Its ten documented types ranged from a 1,225 cc three-cylinder 8 hp car through numerous fours to the exceptional 15.5-litre straight-eight 70/90 hp chassis on a 4,267 mm wheelbase. Two distinct 18/22 hp models used 3,324 and 3,378 cc engines. Catalogued model evidence ends in 1907, although marque activity is reported through 1909. None achieved sustainable volume, and Binks concentrated thereafter on carburettors supplied to firms including Rover.
