About the marque

1987 – 2006
Country
United Kingdom

The Metrocab taxi identity began in Britain in 1987 under Metro Cammell Weymann, whose MCW Metrocab was designed specifically for London-style taxi service. Ownership and production moved through Reliant and Hooper before the business passed to Kamkorp around 2000; the later Metrocab TTT remained in production into 2006. The catalog uses Metrocab for this British taxi lineage and keeps it separate from modern revival proposals, Metrocab operators and unrelated metropolitan transport names.
