Maxi-CUBE grew from Australian road-transport equipment work that began with General Plastics in 1972 and became a specialist brand for refrigerated, temperature-controlled and dry-freight trailers. Its high-volume-cube bodies and composite construction served freight operators across Australia and New Zealand, later becoming part of the MaxiTRANS group alongside Freighter and other trailer brands. The NHTSA Transportation Systems entry is a trailer identity rather than a passenger-vehicle marque.
