London Taxis International was formed around the Coventry-based Carbodies taxi business in 1984. It produced the FX4 and then the TX-series purpose-built London cabs, becoming closely identified with the city's licensed taxi fleet. After financial difficulty, Geely acquired the assets in 2013 and developed the successor London EV Company.
