Jeep is an American vehicle marque whose identity grew from the light four-wheel-drive military vehicles developed during the Second World War. Willys-Overland registered Jeep as a trademark in 1943 and introduced civilian CJ models after the war. The marque subsequently passed through Kaiser, American Motors and Chrysler and became a core global SUV brand of Stellantis, spanning the Wrangler lineage and broader utility-vehicle ranges.
