Berliner Motorwagen-Fabrik Gottschalk & Co. KG was founded at Jägerstraße 61a, Berlin, in 1898 and began motor-vehicle manufacture in 1900. Its public passenger-car name was Gottschalk. The entire documented range consisted of one light voiturette offered with either a 3 hp or 4 hp De Dion-Bouton single-cylinder engine; no evidence supports additional body families or separate models for the two output choices. In 1901 the partnership was reorganized as Berliner Motorwagen-Fabrik GmbH and concentrated on trucks, vans and omnibuses. That corporate continuity is preserved, but the subsequent Tempelhof/BMF commercial identity and post-1906 Oryx, Eryx and Berolina marques are not relabelled as Gottschalk cars.
