DalifolHorizontal-Engine Gasoline Car
The only defensible automobile sold under the plain Dalifol marque. Reference histories identify a horizontal-engined gasoline car built in Paris in 1896 by the metalworking/foundry concern better known for steam motorcycles. No contemporary catalog or period specification has been recovered, so this row does not inherit the two De Dion engines of the separate Dalifol & Thomas voiturette or the 3-CV rear engine of its later L'Abeille. The firm's 1876 Bollée steam tram, Volta/Hildebrand-derived steam bicycles, motorcycles, foundry products and later motorboats remain company history rather than passenger-car models.
Dates with their meaning intact
This record contains useful sourced evidence, but it does not yet meet the reference-ready standard. Still needed: attributed imagery. Fields we cannot source stay empty rather than guessed.
No production quantity, chassis ledger, registration sequence or confirmed survivor is known.
