Cyclecars Vaillant was a small French manufacturer based in Lyon that built vehicles under the Vaillant name from 1922 to 1924. Its 5 CV was marketed as a cyclecar but was mechanically closer to a light car, using a 961 cc Chapuis-Dornier four-cylinder and cardan drive; the related 10 CV used a 1,350 cc version of the same general engine family. Production was brief and ended in 1924. The catalog keeps the maker-specific Vaillant identity separate from the much later “Vaillant” commercial name, from unrelated French cyclecars and from the Chapuis-Dornier engine supplier. The available historical record supports the two-engine family and Lyon origin but does not justify a larger production total or additional model names.
