Charge is the electric-vehicle identity of Charge Cars, founded in 2016 and based in London. The company developed the ‘67 by Charge Cars, a newly built electric vehicle using licensed Mustang-inspired body shells, a dedicated battery floor, permanent-magnet electric motors and composite body panels rather than a conventional internal-combustion restoration. Charge planned a limited run of 499 individually tailored cars. Charge Cars Ltd entered administration, and Charge Automotive Ltd purchased the business and assets on 16 November 2024; the Charge Cars brand and global trademarks continued under that successor. The catalog keeps Charge separate from Ford's Mustang marque and from generic EV charging companies, and it describes the vehicle as a licensed, low-volume electric production program rather than a factory-built Ford conversion or a regular Mustang generation.
