Henri Chapron established his coachbuilding business at Levallois-Perret in 1919, initially reboding surplus Ford Model T chassis. The firm became known for elegant bespoke bodies on Delage, Delahaye and Talbot-Lago chassis and later for factory-associated Citroën DS cabriolets. It continued special and ceremonial bodywork after Henri Chapron's death before closing in 1985.
