Carrosseries Ayats was founded in Arbúcies, Catalonia, in 1905 as a carriage builder. It moved into bus and coach bodywork and developed high-capacity touring products, including double-deck designs sold internationally. The family-owned company remains part of the vehicle-building cluster around Arbúcies and supplies bodies on multiple chassis brands.
