BurtonHunter Prototype
Second and decisive design study by Iwan and Dimitri Göbel after their first attempt required too many changes to a 2CV chassis. Codenamed Hunter, it established the principle that the new body should fit an essentially standard full-length 2CV platform and be accessible to home builders. The name changed to Burton before the 2000 public unveiling, and approximately 90 percent of its form carried into production. It is retained as a physical prototype, not counted as a customer Burton Sportscar.
Dates with their meaning intact
This record contains useful sourced evidence, but it does not yet meet the reference-ready standard. Still needed: attributed imagery. Fields we cannot source stay empty rather than guessed.
One design prototype lineage is documented; whether every foam/body stage was road-complete is not fully resolved.
