Buffalo Electric Vehicle Company formed in 1912 from Babcock Electric Carriage and allied electric-vehicle businesses, operating a purpose-built daylight factory on Main Street in Buffalo. Its cars deliberately resembled gasoline automobiles: Models 20, 30 and 30 B supplied roadster, coupe and brougham choices through 1914, while the Model 36 coupe stood alone in 1915. Department-store merchant John Wanamaker distributed cars in Pennsylvania and New York City. Manufacture ended after four years. Despite shared city and badge wording, this concern was separate from both Buffalo Automobile & Auto-Bi and the 1901–1906 electric-carriage company.
