Bonallack & Sons traced its body-building roots to Jacob Bonallack's 1825 wagon business and became a major specialist in commercial-vehicle bodies. In 1951–1952 it briefly marketed a complete car under its own name: the Minnow, an aluminium two-seat reverse tricycle with independent front suspension, a single rear wheel and an engine behind the seats. An underpowered 200 cc Villiers single gave way to a 10 hp Excelsior twin. Only a few Minnows were made and one survives. Bonallack then returned to bodywork, later becoming part of Freight Bonallack.
