James L. Binney and John Appleton Burnham formed their Boston automobile concern in January 1902 after completing an earlier steam car for George McQuesten. They built heavy two-cylinder steam automobiles only to customer order. The complete named range comprised the approximately 500 kg two-seat Model B runabout and the much larger eight-passenger Model C touring car. Production stopped in December 1902, and the partners separated the following January; Burnham subsequently joined Lyman & Burnham.
