Bilmar Engineering operated on the Isle of Portland, Dorset, from 1971 through 1972. It offered complete automobiles and kits under the Bilmar name. Its only product, the Buccaneer, enlarged the Lotus Seven idiom around a spaceframe with partly aluminium bodywork, a Triumph Spitfire four-cylinder engine and Ford Corsair rear axle. Published totals vary between approximately ten and exactly eleven cars. No successor model followed, making the Buccaneer the complete Bilmar catalog.
