Bessemer Motor Truck Company opened in Grove City, Pennsylvania, in 1911 with Models A, B and C. Its Continental-powered range grew from 0.7-ton light trucks to heavy 3.5- and five-ton chassis, moving from chain to shaft drive. Models G, J, D and E anchored the wartime and early-1920s catalog. A 1923 merger with the unrelated contemporary American Motors Corporation created Bessemer-American Motors, but trucks retained the Bessemer badge. Models H2 and K2 appeared in 1925, followed by the six-cylinder Speed Truck in 1926. Insolvency ended production after eleven documented truck families.
