Benson/Wabash is a commercial platform-trailer identity, distinct from Transcraft/Wabash's steel and combo flatbeds and from Wabash Tanks. Wabash National says Benson aluminum platform trailers were added to its portfolio in 2008 and that Benson's aluminum products complemented Transcraft's steel and combo offerings; current Wabash materials market aluminum flatbeds and drop decks under the Wabash/Benson lineage. The catalog's Aluminium Flatbed label is therefore preserved as a trailer product identity, not a passenger-car model. Wabash's ownership history does not establish the founding year of the original Benson company in this record, so no invented date or production total is assigned. Related Wabash, Transcraft and Benson labels remain separate wherever the source names them separately.
