Hot-rod enthusiasts Nik Sandeman-Allen and Phil Smith combined their Manchester activities as Beaujangle Enterprises in 1971, initially producing a conventional buggy and a basic £30 T-Bucket body. Kendrick Gough joined as the business became Beaujangle Sales in 1972, launching the 1,300 cc Volkswagen-based Can-Am with optional gullwing hardtop. About three buggies, five T-Buckets and six Can-Ams were made before receivership in summer 1973. Lemazone briefly revived the Can-Am in 1985–1987, but that successor production remains identified in the model history rather than treated as a new Beaujangle type.
