Bako

Engineer Boubaker Siala founded Bako Motors in 2021 as a Tunisian-German startup focused on small battery vehicles whose roof photovoltaics supplement plug-in charging. Its first commercial product was the B1—also called Qorax in early coverage—a modular three-wheel cargo vehicle developed for last-mile delivery and deployed in small municipal and health-logistics fleets. Bako subsequently moved to four wheels: the Bee is a low-speed passenger microcar, while the B-Van is a higher-capacity delivery vehicle offered with multiple battery ranges. By 2026 the official range comprised Bee and B-Van, with production centered in Tunisia and an additional Saudi plant, R&D listed in Marseille and corporate headquarters registered in Luxembourg. International deliveries, European ECE homologation and an export-oriented expansion distinguish Bako from a prototype-only venture.
