Badsey

Badsey was the vehicle identity created by Bill Badsey, who founded his company in South Africa in 1979 and began building the three-wheeled Bullet in 1981. The tandem two-seat sports car used two front wheels and one rear wheel, a lightweight body and a transverse motorcycle-derived powertrain; the best-known production specification used a Yamaha Venture V4 engine, while more powerful Silver Bullet proposals and specials should not be confused with a regular model line. In 1982 Badsey established Bill Badsey Racing U.S.A. in California, and production moved there in 1983. Output was extremely small—commonly reported as only a handful of completed cars—and the end date varies among sources because prototypes, kits and later offers were counted differently. The catalog keeps Badsey separate from Italdesign's later Aztec, which was stylistically influenced by the Bullet but was not a Badsey vehicle.
