Brian, Andy and Darren founded BAD Design in Birmingham in 2001, their initials forming the company name. The Supacorse coupé and 2004 Supacorse Spider used Toyota MR2 mechanical foundations beneath Ferrari F355-inspired bodywork. Published histories disagree sharply: one ends original manufacture in 2004, while catalogs document the marque in 2005–2006 and some summaries extend production to 2012. Approximately 250 conversions are attributed to the operation. Bob Atkinson later attempted a northeastern revival with separately named products, preserved under his own badge identity.
