Bouquet, Garçin and Schivre incorporated their Neuilly-sur-Seine company in August 1898 and marketed its vehicles under the founders' initials B.G.S. With Renault design assistance, the first electric vis-à-vis combined a 3.5 kW motor with a roughly 350 kg company-designed lead battery and claimed 130–150 km at 25 km/h. B.G.S. developed phaeton, dos-à-dos and transformable cab bodies, entered three cars in the 1899 Paris–Suresnes electric trial, and named its 262 km record car Alésia. It also supplied a fire engine and contract-built the Créanche-badged Duc. B.G.S. production ended in 1906; the public initials, not 'Bouquet', define the catalog identity.
