Georges Averly, a Lyon electrical engineer born in 1853, established G. Averly in 1899 to construct small electric automobiles. Only a few examples were completed before vehicle production ended in 1901, and surviving standard histories preserve no factory type names, battery capacities, body variants or exact count. Averly later founded Société Anonyme des Établissements Georges Averly in Lyon in 1919, but that later industrial concern is not evidence of renewed automobile manufacture. The catalog therefore keeps one honest source-bounded electric light-car line.
