Autocrat (Hartford)Compressed-air Prototype
Autocrat Manufacturing Company's sole project. The maker claimed a dedicated station could replenish it in three seconds and advertised 40–50 miles (approximately 65–80 km) per fill, but prototype tests achieved only about 10 mph and useful range would have been further constrained by returning to Hartford's planned central filling point. Press claims are retained as claims rather than verified performance. It is unrelated to British Autocrat Light Car and the 1911–1912 Oldsmobile Autocrat.
Dates with their meaning intact
This record contains useful sourced evidence, but it does not yet meet the reference-ready standard. Still needed: attributed imagery. Fields we cannot source stay empty rather than guessed.
Only one experimental vehicle is documented; no customer production followed.
