Austin-Morris was formed within British Leyland in 1968 to bring the Austin and Morris volume-car operations under common management. The designation appeared in corporate and registration contexts across shared products such as the Mini, Marina, Maxi and Princess. It was reorganized into the Austin Rover Group in 1982 as British Leyland consolidated its surviving passenger-car brands.
