Research notes
Purpose-built silhouette racer (code R4) based on the Audi 200 C3, run by Bob Tullius's Group 44 Racing in the 1988 SCCA Trans-Am Series. Won 8 of 13 races and the 1988 manufacturers' championship — the only AWD car to ever win a Trans-Am title, prompting the SCCA to ban AWD from Trans-Am for 1989.
