Auburn Speedster Company was incorporated at Buffalo, New York, in January 1971 to participate in the growing market for recreations of the celebrated prewar Auburn. Actual vehicle production is documented only in 1973. Its single fiberglass boattail speedster used a Ford chassis and 5.7-litre V8 and was marketed with Auburn, Replica or Speedsters wording rather than as a continuation of the original Indiana manufacturer. Glassic Motor Car Company acquired the project after that brief run, although the corporate shell was not dissolved until 1982.
