Astra appeared at the 1930 Brussels Motor Show with an 1,100 cc S.C.A.P.-engined car closely patterned after the French Tracta. Contemporary plans mentioned additional six- and eight-cylinder versions, but neither they nor the display car entered series manufacture. The name therefore represents a documented Belgian prototype program rather than an operating volume-production manufacturer and is kept distinct from unrelated Astra marques.
