Paul Sparrow founded Amalfi Sportscars in 1994, with early locations variously reported at Basingstoke and Newport before a 1997 move to Ammanford, Wales. The opening Passero resembled a Lamborghini Countach at smaller scale and used Fiat X1/9 or Lancia Beta four-cylinder power in a bespoke spaceframe beneath six pop-up headlamps. In 1997 the Passero name was dropped and a revised chassis adopted Ford Granada and Scorpio suspension. Production ceased in 2000 after probably two cars across both generations, one purchased by Larry Webb.
